The Headlines:
We are seeking a Senior Data Intelligence Architect to join our Data Intelligence team within the Data, Analytics, and AI function of Information Technology. This role will be key in supporting, implementing, and enhancing our Data Intelligence & Governance (DIG) platform and enabling the business to find, trust, and understand enterprise data.
As a collaborative thought leader, you will work alongside business stakeholders, data engineering, reporting, data science, analytics, and security teams to improve our metadata management, cataloging, and governance practices. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, understands metadata-driven data management, and is passionate about advocating for effective data intelligence practices that empower business and technical users.

The Responsibilities:
Act as a key advocate for the adoption and integration of data intelligence practices, ensuring that data cataloging, metadata acquisition, and governance are embedded across teams. Support and contribute to the implementation and configuration of our Data Intelligence & Governance platform (DIG), ensuring it aligns with business and governance needs. Lead and execute functional and technical configurations of the DIG platform, including custom workflows, metadata integration, and tagging strategies and methods. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define and enhance data cataloging, metadata standards, business glossary, and data lineage processes. Contribute to defining and measuring success metrics for data intelligence tools and practices to track adoption and continuous improvement. Provide expertise in data intelligence best practices, assisting in embedding standards into the enterprise data ecosystem. Actively engage in the Data Intelligence Community of Practice (CoP) by developing content, conducting internal enablement, and supporting data literacy initiatives. Ensure alignment with product management and team strategy while providing input and recommendations for tool enhancements and process improvements.
The Other Qualifications:
You have a bachelor's degree in Information Quality, Library Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or related fields OR equivalent experience You have a minimum of 6 years of experience in data governance, metadata management, data cataloging, data quality, or analytics, with a preference for 8+ years of experience in data intelligence and metadata-driven data management. You have a strong foundation in metadata management, information governance, and data lifecycle management. You have experience with data catalog and governance platforms such as Alation or similar tools. You understand DMBoK principles (CDMP certification desired). You have experience with functional and technical configurations in SaaS-based data intelligence platforms. You have proficiency in SQL and familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Databricks Unity Catalog). You have the proven ability to collaborate across technical and business teams, translating governance principles into practical solutions. You can advocate for data intelligence best practices and engage stakeholders in the value of data cataloging, metadata, and governance. You have strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and business audiences. You are a continuous learner who stays updated on best practices in metadata, governance, and data intelligence. You love a challenge.
