The Sr Credit Coordinator is an entry-level contributor that supports the department by completing clerical work and monitoring records. This role involves evaluating credit applications, monitoring credit limits, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective credit management. **Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:** + Review and approve daily: credit applications, joint check agreements and project account documents, purchase orders, and specialty accounts by pulling credit bureau reports, reviewing financial statements, other credit data resources and other duties pertaining to collection files and reporting. + Respond to new account emails and communicate with sales teams and credit teams pertaining to new account documents. + Answer phone calls: questions from Customers, Sales Service Centers, Credit Personnel (internal and external) pertaining to new accounts. + Review and Respond to Credit Inquiries + Manage Return Mail + Provide customer service for both internal and external customers. + Maintain a processing turnaround time of 24 hours or less on all requests. + Keep daily log of incoming new credit applications, joint check agreements and project accounts. + Notify Credit Personnel (internal and external) and Sales Service Centers of completed new accounts. + Maintain pending files and folders. + Create letters and cover pages for all new accounts. + Assist with filing and imaging. + Assist with general clerical duties. + Assist with reporting information for New Accounts and Collection Files + Assist Manager with collection files and duties pertaining to collection files. + Performs other duties as needed. **Required Experience and Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. + 0-2 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. **Competencies:** + Applies conceptual knowledge of the theories, practices, and procedures within a discipline. + Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. + Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. + High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data. + Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products. + Knowledge of accounting terminology, practices, and concepts. + SAP accounting system experience a plus + Experian / Biz IQ preferred + Dun & Bradstreet preferred + Knowledge of Commercial Unsecured Credit, risk assessment, lien laws, and third-party collection management a plus We offer competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, career opportunities, and an environment of creativity and growth.
