This position will be posted until filled. Responsibilities The Sr Claims Processing Representative is responsible for a diverse range of functions within General Motors Insurance Claims. This role will primarily support activities associated with claim handling to ensure the process is efficient and effective for customers and the overall Claims department. This position requires flexibility in quickly adapting to changing assignments and managing multiple tasks simultaneously, while working with others in a positive and constructive manner. This position will work alongside various Claims team members including, but not limited to, Auto and Casualty Claims Adjusters, Claims Managers/Supervisors as well as other Shared Services teams, depending on the nature of assigned responsibilities. The Sr Claims Processing Representative must project a professional company image through all communication interactions. This role is a strong team influencer, has consistent quality scores, and serves as a guide and thought leader to others. About the role Provides support to the Claims Operations & Shared Services teams in a hybrid work environment Processes subrogation, salvage, and other claims financials Partners with Accounting to ensure financial reconciliation and accuracy Updates reporting and dashboards as needed Research documents and route to the appropriate owner for handling Monitors subrogation and salvage activities and takes appropriate action to resolve the outstanding tasks Manages vendor contacts within the Guidewire Contact Manager system to ensure accuracy for 1099 reporting Assists with workload balancing Various reporting and data entry responsibilities Supports workload surges and/or catastrophe operations as needed to include working significant overtime during designated catastrophic events Qualifications What makes you a dream candidate? Basic understanding of subrogation and salvage recovery functions Knowledge regarding general claim transactions and financial activities Knowledge of Microsoft Office products; computer literacy in a Windows operating environment Understanding of personal lines auto claims is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Possess organizational and time management skills, Ability to meet deadlines High degree of initiative, mature judgement, and discretion Detail oriented and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously Must be able to collaborate with others in a highly remote operation Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred 4+ years of customer service experience required 3+ years of claims support experience preferred 2+ years of experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter and Contact Manager preferred Licenses Insurance adjuster license 60 Days, required What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.
