Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly driven and talented software engineer or bioinformatics engineer to join the DRAGEN Team.
The team focus on developing automated test infrastructure and bioinformatics tools to analyze large genomic datasets, setting up a CI/CD and improving the databases and websites that we use for the verification activities.
Responsibilities:
Work independently in cross-functional teams to lead the testing effort for data analysis software
Design and implement automated software verification framework and scripts
Work with bioinformatics scientists for data analysis, trouble shooting, and bioinformatics tool development.
Participate in Code and Design Reviews
Ensure Software Development Life Cycle procedures are followed
Collaborate with peers to identify opportunities for process improvement

Requirements:
Strong software engineering fundamentals is required
Experience developing software applications utilizing a high level language such as Python, Java, C# or C++ is required
Experience in designing or architecting automated verification framework and tests
Have a good understanding or interest in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Oncology or related field
Be able to work in a Linux environment
Experience with CI/CD and related tools is preferred
Experience with cloud technologies is preferred
Be curious, detail oriented, and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly
Be customer-focused, team-oriented, and motivated, taking ownership of assigned tasks
Have proven ability to self-manage, as well as manage interdisciplinary relationships
Good verbal and written communication and troubleshooting skills
Normally require Bachelor with 5 years or Masters with 3 years relevant experience or PhD
