What you’ll Do
Administer the day-to-day operations of groups benefits programs, including health, dental, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans in accordance with plan documents, company polices, and legal requirements. Oversee the processing of life insurance claims and assist beneficiaries with application process. Process Qualified Medical Support Orders and Employee Verifications timely. Audit, reconcile and ensure accurate and timely payment of benefits invoices on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis. Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes. Coordinate with external vendors, brokers and carriers to resolve issues. Provide guidance and education to local HR, local management and associates as required and needed to address employee benefits plan issues and promote plan utilization and understanding. Monitor Oracle helpdesk tickets daily and provide timely resolutions to inquiries from associates and management. Conduct new hire benefits orientations. Coordinate the distribution of New Hire and Open Enrollment benefits materials to all locations. Support annual 5500 filings and audit processes. Serve as a liaison between benefits, HRIS, payroll, and integrations’ vendor including integration files, audits and reconciliations. Manage the subrogation process and assists vendors in obtaining responses from associates. Assist with the annual open enrollment process. Process qualifying life events. Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
What Experience and Education You Need
Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, Finance or other related field or a minimum of 5 years Benefits experience or equivalent combination of experience and training. Minimum 2 years of experience with benefits administration for multi-location business with Unions in a manufacturing environment Minimum 2 years of benefits administration in a HRIS/HRMS system (Oracle preferred). CBP or CEBS preferred.

Critical thinking skills – including logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Must have strong work ethic; an individual who takes great pride in their work and wants to grow their career.
