Job Summary

Avient Corporation has a position for a Senior Financial Controller, as part of the Finance & Control team. This position supports our Protective Materials Business unit and is located in Geleen, The Netherlands.

Essential Functions

The  Senior Financial Controller ensures the integrity of Financial Statements in accordance with APM Accounting Rules and local, statutory accounting standards and needs to:
•    Coordinate forecast process, including month forecast, annual budget, and strategic plan.
•    Finalize forecast after BU/Corporate review, embed corrections in reporting system, communicate the result with relevant stakeholders
•    Understand the processes in CAPEX, OPEX and Management reporting & consolidation. Be able to challenge the processes and coordinate the improvement projects.
•    Ensure managerial reports are in line with corporate and business segment requirements.
•    Assist Global Commercial & Innovation controller in the following area:
o    Reporting and analysis
o    Cost control including cost forecast discussion with budget holders
o    Rebate and Commission monitoring.
o    Execute SOX or internal controls in time with required quality.

Education and Experience

•    We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and talented team player with:
•    At least 7-10 years’ experience in Finance & Business Control in an international environment;
•    Master’s degree in Business Administration and/or Controlling and/or CPA or CMA preferred
•    Accounting and reporting knowledge, and process expertise
•    A self-starter with excellent inter-personal skills and strong ability of stakeholder management. Can express her/his ideas with ease and flair.
•    Ability to think in a disciplined, critical and analytical approach
•    Ability to challenge the existing process and be autonomous in coordinating the improvement
•    Curiosity, and eager to learn.
•    An ambitious and talented team player, with a collaborative mindset 

Additional Qualifications
•    Prefer to have experience in SAP, Business warehouse and Hyperion
