We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Security Analyst to join our 24/7 Security Operations Center. After onboarding is complete, this role will be on a shift scheduled Monday through Thursday from 10PM to 8AM, and is focused on performing investigation and remediation of security alerts.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our information systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor security alerts and events from various sources, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) tools, firewalls, and other security tools.
Analyze and investigate security incidents to determine the root cause, impact, and severity.
Respond to security incidents by following established procedures and playbooks.
Conduct threat hunting activities to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with other IT and security teams to remediate identified threats and vulnerabilities.
Maintain and update incident response documentation and reports.
Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
Participate in regular SOC team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in a SOC or similar cybersecurity role.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscape, and attack vectors.
Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and other security technologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Works to enhance the cyber risk posture related to confidentiality and integrity of areas assigned, identifying, documenting, and communicating cyber risks to business leaders and technology teams.
Completes basic risk assignments on time, meeting agreed-upon milestones.
Performs and tracks basic to moderate consulting efforts that result in improved cyber posture.
Informs peers and leaders about cyber exceptions.
Collaborates on vulnerability management, detection, and prevention by aiding in team planning and delivery activities. Ensures application teams stay informed about the latest vulnerabilities and controls to keep the enterprise safe.
Conducts Threat Detection, Alerts, and Incident Response: Collaborates to uplift cybersecurity detection and alerts awareness and assists teams with responses to cyber incidents as required.
Assists in automating containment of cyber security events.
Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager, Risk Leader or above.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in cyber security, management information systems, engineering, math, computer science, data analytics or related field or comparable experience and education strongly preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Preferred interest and progress in obtaining Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), or other cyber certifications.
Experience: Typically, two to three years of experience in one or more information risk management capabilities and/or information audit systems. At least one year of experience in Technology or Project Management.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Good communication skills, action oriented, an interest in learning, ability to build partnerships, ability to prioritize requests, and make good decisions. Familiarity with the insurance and/or financial services industry is a bonus.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and Human Resource Business Partner.
