Sr Analyst, Credit Risk Mgmt - Strategy

As a Senior Analyst within the Credit Risk Management team, you will be required to wear multiple hats. You must have a strong blend of analytical skills, project management, presentation skills, and ability to develop strong and effective working relationships.

You will work independently and/or in as part of a team of analysts to identify new credit segmentation opportunities using statistical methods leading to enhancements to our credit decision process and policies, collections strategies, and fraud strategies. You will partnering within members of the Credit Risk Management team and other functional teams in T-Mobile for the deployment, analysis and tracking of new credit strategies to manage risk.

You will manipulate large amounts of data, extract key insights from the data, and then clearly and concisely communicate actionable recommendations based upon your insights. In many cases, you will participate in projects at various stages from idea or hypothesis generation to development and/or implementation. You will be expected to contribute as credit data expert, analytic methodology specialist and primary statistics analyst.

Responsibilities

Apply statistical segmentation techniques to identify new opportunitiesPerforming complex qualitative and quantitative analysis of credit polices to ensure financial goals are being attainedDeveloping predictive financial and analytical models using the appropriate statistical methodologies, including trend and regression analysisParticipate and perform the analysis of new data and statistical products by external vendorsPerforming loss forecasting analysisExtracting, processing and transforming data from multiple disparate sources; analyzing credit bureau data and alternative credit dataDeliver work output with full awareness and adherence to project timelines or agreed upon deadlines

Qualifications – Minimum Required

5+ years of quantitative analytic modeling experience or comparable process management experienceBA/BS in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or related degree requiredIntermediate or higher proficiency in SAS or other statistical/analytical programming languagesSuperior computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint requiredSuperior communication (spoken and written), organization and presentation skillsSuperior time management skills and awareness of project management methods

Education – Minimum Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or related degree

Qualifications – Desired

Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline a plusBasic proficiency in SQL, C++, Python, R or other statistical software packages a plusPrior consumer risk management experience a plusWireless / Telecom experience a plus

At least 18 years of ageLegally authorized to work in the United StatesHigh School Diploma or GED
