Summary:

Baxter Healthcare Corporation is hiring a Sr Accountant in Shanghai. Take on a rewarding role where you will handle day-to-day US GAAP accounting and ensure perfect compliance with statutory and tax regulations. Work closely with BBS KL to drive process improvement and foster collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assisting and supporting the accounting operations in BBS KLReviewing manual journals and account reconciliations prepared and submitted by BBSPlaying an active role in driving automation initiatives and process improvements both locally and supporting BBS initiativesResponding to queries from local business units and cross-functional teams promptly and efficientlyCollaborating on statutory audit preparations and working with PWC for both US GAAP and local statutory auditsSupporting tax compliance (corporate tax and GST/VAT) with assistance from BBSManaging tax audits and leading the project management of these audits with BBS supportProviding documentation for direct and indirect tax litigationSupporting regional and global reporting requirements such as monthly Balance Sheet & P&L Flux analysisEnsuring adherence to company policies, internal and external audit requirements, and local regulations; supporting the strengthening of financial processes and controlsCollaborating effectively with country collaborators and various global collaborators including BBSParticipating in local, regional, and global projects as requiredMaintaining a focus on continuous process improvement opportunities, including the implementation of technologies such as Workiva for Stat, One Source for VAT, and Kyriba for Treasury

Qualifications:Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experienceProven experience in a multinational environment and/or auditGood knowledge of US GAAP and PRC GAAPStrong analytical skillsExcellent communication skills, with a diplomatic, flexible, and "can do" approach.Proficient in both written and spoken EnglishStrong proficiency in reporting tools including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Education and/or Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience, or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/CPAAbility and willingness to travel internationally as requiredExperience in JDE, Blackline, Alteryx, and W-Desk is advantageous
