**Job Summary**
The SQL Server DBA is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical DB servers, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of the applications. This is a hands-on position requiring proven technical skills, good interpersonal and excellent oral and written communication.
**In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and debugging tools.
+ Experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.
+ Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
+ Experience implementing and handling encryption lifecycle.
+ Installing, Configuring, and Upgrading SQL Server/Applying Service Packs.
+ Server and Database Security Administration.
+ Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
+ Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments from development to production systems.
+ Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms.
+ When performance issues arise, identify the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases.
+ Planning for capacity and handling client interactions in preparation for upcoming migrations.
+ Ability to build standard operating procedures for technical solutions and train operational teams.
+ Configure, manage, and troubleshoot SQL Server Replication (Transactional, Merge, Snapshot).
+ Monitor replication performance, latency, and conflicts to ensure data consistency and minimal downtime.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Possesses proficiency in MS SQL Server Administration spanning 5-8 years.
+ Experience required in SQL 2008 R2, 2012, 2014, and SQL Server 2016 and 2019.
+ Experience with Windows 2012 R2 Server, Windows 2016 Server, and 2019.
+ Knowledge of Clustering, Always On, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
+ Experience with SSIS/SSRS would be an advantage.
+ Experience in tools such as Service Now, Redgate, Splunk, and Commvault backup Tools.
+ Experience with AWS, or Azure is an additional advantage.
+ Experience with automation, and PowerShell is a plus.
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
