SQL Developer

A SQL Developer has a strong background in SQL development, data modeling, and building data pipelines, along with proficiency in data visualization using Tableau. As a SQL Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing databases and data pipelines to support our data-driven initiatives. Additionally, you will leverage Tableau to create interactive dashboards and reports to communicate insights derived from the data. In this role, you will report to the Director of Analytics and Engineering.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL databases, data models, and ETL processes in Snowflake to support business requirements

Design and implement data pipelines using SQL and ETL tools to ingest and process large volumes of data

Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Optimize SQL queries, database performance, and ETL processes to improve efficiency and scalability

Ensure data accuracy, performance, and security in Snowflake environments

Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau to communicate insights and findings

Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and provide actionable insights

Automate data workflows and troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing, performance, and data quality

Document database schemas, data flows, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration

Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in SQL development, Snowflake, data engineering, and data visualization


Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:  

Strong understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and ETL concepts

Proficiency in SQL programming including complex queries, joins, subqueries, and aggregate functions

Proficiency in Tableau Desktop for creating interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment

Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders


Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Three to five years of experience as a SQL Developer or Data Engineer with proficiency in SQL programming and database management

Certification in SQL, Tableau, or related fields is a plus

Experience with cloud platforms like Snowflake

Experience with Healthcare

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 / salary
