SQL Developer
Description This role will oversee data processing and reporting functions related to participant and performance data. The SQL Developer will be responsible for utilizing data assets to provide analysis and reporting to end users and internal customers, as well as managing the flow of data within the environment. Responsibilities include developing, testing, and implementing ETL packages within Microsoft SQL Server SSIS and creating ad-hoc queries and reports using SSMS. Additionally, you'll play a key role in building out and transitioning to a new Snowflake data warehouse. Support for data architecture and management efforts will also be required. This position involves working on complex assignments and collaborating with the IT applications team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business needs, translating them into technical solutions, while managing internal and external client relationships as needed. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration from multiple sources into Snowflake. Optimize and fine-tune the Snowflake data warehouse to ensure performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Develop and manage data models, schemas, and transformations for analytics and reporting. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve ETL failures, optimize data loads, and ensure data integrity. Document data processing and data validation procedures for all assigned programs, maintaining updated records. Execute data validation procedures for participant and performance data on assigned programs and during data migrations. Develop automated and reusable routines for extracting requested information. Produce accurate and timely reports, both online and offline, based on client needs. Compile detailed reports using data reporting tools such as stored procedures executed from platforms. Assist account teams with data queries and support program metrics and reviews for assigned programs. Analyze the performance of database queries and take corrective actions for performance deficiencies. Monitor scheduled tasks and queries post-implementation to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Requirements Education and Experience Microsoft SQL Server - Experience working with complex Stored Procedures and importing data from various file formats. Database Technologies: Proficiency with relational database technologies, theories, and frameworks. ETL Tools: Expertise in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or similar ETL technologies. IT Policies and Compliance: Strong understanding and commitment to following rigorous IT data and system policies Desired Technical Skills Snowflake Expertise: Strong experience with Snowflake data warehousing, performance tuning, Snowflake SQL, Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks. Process Controls & Security: Understanding of process controls and security standards such as SOC2 compliance. Scripting in C#: Familiarity with using C# for automation and scripting tasks. Code Repositories: Experience working with repositories like Azure DevOps and Git. BI Reporting Tools: Exposure to Tableau BI or Power BI for data visualization and reporting. Data Warehousing Practices: Knowledge of best practices in data warehousing, data marts, and operational data stores. CI/CD Pipelines: Experience working with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for streamlined development processes.
