Summary Ken Garff Automotive Group is looking for a passionate, persistent, humble, and hungry Data Modeler/Data Engineer that can help mature Ken Garff’s Data Management & Analytics team. This individual will partner closely with Technology and Business stakeholders to create an alignment of data-driven decisions throughout the company at both the strategic and tactical levels. Reporting to the Director of Data Engineering. They will design new data models, star schemas, new data marts, grow the culture of self-service reporting, and support a company that has been truly data-driven for over 20 years! Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Work with Business, Architects, and System Analysts to fully understand the business requirements and translate them into Conceptual, Logical, and Physical models. + Create and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models defining information requirements to meet end user needs. + Analytical ability and business acumen to collect multiple sources of data and draw conclusions. + Has demonstrable analytical SQL experience working with dimensional modeling. + Utilize your experience in reporting and data modeling to make key decisions on structure and data model design. (Star schema/data mart design) + Develop a deep understanding of the needs of the business and assist in aligning the strategic goals and tactical objectives to decisions made with data and analytical products. + Design the company data model and analytic products that analyze every aspect of the business ranging from finance, sales, customer 360, marketing, and operations.
