Job Title Spring 2025 SUNY Cortland Admissions Tour Guide Department Admissions Job Description/Duties Conduct campus tours for prospective students, families, and other visitors. Answer questions and interact with guests to enhance their experience. Share insights about academic programs, extracurricular activities, and campus resources. Greet and welcome all guests. Days/Hours Needed Tour times are: Monday, Wednesday, Friday morning: 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Thursday morning: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday afternoon: 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

*Each hired guide is assigned shifts based on availability, experience and performance.
Additional students may be hired as subs who can pick up shifts based on availability. Campus Location/Bldg. Brockway Hall, Jacobus Lounge
Miller Building, Admissions lobby (first floor) Required Qualifications Must be a current SUNY Cortland student Great public speaking and communication skills Ability to engage and connect with a diverse audience Knowledgeable of campus resources and policies Love of SUNY Cortland Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in customer service, education, or public speaking is a plus Availability to work flexible hours, and one weekend in the semester Knowledge of various academic majors and student life Experience with social media platforms (Ex. Instagram) Enthusiasm and passion, adaptability, teamwork, cultural competence, organizational skills Physical Demands Walking around campus in all weather conditions for approximately 2 hours.
