As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Investment Banking, you will serve as a member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver end-to-end cutting-edge solutions in the form of cloud-native micro-services architecture applications leveraging the latest technologies and the best industry practices. Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems Support the products you've built through their entire life cycle, including production and incident management Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Technically curious, versatile and solution oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Excellent architecture knowledge. Capable of design solutions meeting scalability, reliability and security requirements. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Proficient in coding in any programming language Java/Python preferred Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages Working hands on experience in AWS cloud platform. Ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment within a diverse, inclusive and geographically distributed team Understanding of relational databases Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Familiarity with modern front-end technologies Good writing skills, capable of producing supporting documentation. Understanding of messaging frameworks (Kafka, Rabbit MQ, etc.) Understanding of distributed systems and micro-services architecture AWS/CKAD Certified Good understanding of Microsoft Office suite – particularly MS Excel.
