Job Description:

Location: Biddeford, Maine

As a Spray Booth & Bonding Operator, you will be responsible for applying thermal spray and metal/ceramic coatings to backing tubes and plates to build sputter targets used in industries such as Glass, PV, Electronics, and Display.

Responsibilities:

– Apply thermal spray, metal, and ceramic coatings (wire and powder) to backing tubes and plates
– Bring innovative improvement ideas to the table and help implement them
– Operate ancillary equipment and participate in safety, quality, and traceability systems
– Understand and adhere to safety requirements and emergency procedures
– Manage hazardous waste in compliance with regulations
– Fill in for vacations and vacancies across shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts) from Sunday night through Friday evening;

Desired Background/Skills:

– Experience with spray plasma and wire preferred
– Must be able to qualify for respirator usage
– Ability to read mechanical drawings
– Proficient with power tools and measuring instruments
– Strong reading, writing, and math skills
– Ability to follow all safety and manufacturing procedures
– Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
– Detail-oriented and committed to quality
– High school diploma or GED required

Location: Biddeford, ME
Hourly Rate: $24.00 – $27.00 DOE
Shifts Available: 2nd Shift & 3rd Shift
