Spot Welder (20-24hr)
**Job Title: Spot Welder** **Job Description** Use Spot Welding equipment to apply two shaped copper alloy electrodes to concentrate welding current into a small 'spot' and simultaneously clamp the sheets together. Force a large current through the spot to melt the metal and form the weld. Install proper electrodes on the spot-welding machine and adjust control for proper heat, pressure settings, and timing of current. Use the proper amount of heat to match the sheet's material properties, thickness, and type of electrodes. Work from routings, prints, or instructions and inspect work using a micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments. Examine welded components for any defects and deliver the first piece to inspection for verification of dimensions and weld accuracy. You will be responsible for producing the highest level of quality, utilizing control plans, customer drawings, and appropriate work instructions. The department will have 4-6 individuals working at one time. Available shifts include 1 opening on 1st shift (5:00am-3:30pm OR 6:00am-4:15pm) and 2 openings on 2nd shift (3:30pm-2:00am).
