About the Program: PAL is dedicated to providing a comprehensive and enriching softball program for our students. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Softball Coach to join our team and help develop our young athletes' skills, teamwork, and love for the game.

Job Summary: The Softball Coach will be responsible for leading and managing the softball program. This includes planning and conducting practice sessions, developing game strategies, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all participants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in softball, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to promoting sportsmanship and personal growth.

This position is available at the New South Bronx Center - Bronx

Schedule is as follows: Saturdays from 2 PM to 5 PM

 

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and conduct regular softball practices. Develop and implement effective coaching strategies tailored to the skill levels and needs of participants. Teach fundamental skills, game rules, and advanced techniques in softball. Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among players. Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and games. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding schedules, expectations, and program updates. Manage equipment and ensure the proper care and maintenance of all softball gear. Evaluate individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback and encouragement. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students. Attend and supervise all scheduled games and events, coordinating logistics and team preparation.
