Overview/Summary This posting is seeking an individual to be responsible for on-boarding data into an existing large-scale on-prem environment. The data will need to be normalized at the time of ingestion and consumed by a variety of use-cases. Work as part of a team of Engineers and Architects to deliver and standardize log-based monitoring and observability services. Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team to ensure value is being delivered from log sources. Job Duties & Responsibilities • Setup and manage data sources, including configuring Splunk components to collect logs from various systems and methods • Define data input pipelines, data parsing rules, field extractions, and other data normalization tasks to ensure accurate data processing down stream • Monitor and troubleshoot for data collection or processing issues • Identify and address data quality issues to ensure data consistency and accuracy • Implement data cleansing and normalization processes where necessary

Minimum Qualifications • 5+ years of experience with Splunk data administration within an Enterprise Security perspective • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate both laterally and up to influence decisions and actions • Demonstrated strong understanding of Splunk architecture, components, administration and architecture • Demonstrated expertise in Splunk Processing Language (SPL) • Demonstrated knowledge of data ingestion methods, including: log collection methods, data parsing and field extraction • Understanding of data security best practices • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements Preferred Qualifications • 5+ years of experience with a Telecom, Financial or other highly-regulated industry • 5+ years of experience in IT and Security related disciplines • Splunk Certified Enterprise Admin

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
