Speech Pathologist, Casual

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats a variety of communication/swallowing disorders but is not limited to aphasia, voice, speech/language, closed head injury deficits (cognitive, linguistic, memory, attention), fluency (including stuttering), aural rehabilitation, non-verbal (augmentative communication), oral and pharyngeal stage of swallowing.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Prepares diagnostic and evaluative reports with recommendations.
2. Maintains compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies' requirements.
3. Provides diagnostic evaluative services for Speech-Language Pathology clients.
4. Delivers appropriate speech pathology treatments.
5. Actively participates in staff meetings, development, and in-service education.
6. Adheres to organizational policies, including Corporate Compliance and HIPAA.
7. Maintains confidentiality and accurate progress notes.
8. Provides excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
9. Coordinates evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs.
10. Pursues professional growth and development, and participates in educational programs.

+ Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with specific course work and clinical practice in all previously mentioned areas within the scope of practice is required.
+ Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ Speech Pathologist
+ Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
