The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats a variety of communication/swallowing disorders but is not limited to aphasia, voice, speech/language, closed head injury deficits (cognitive, linguistic, memory, attention), fluency (including stuttering), aural rehabilitation, non-verbal (augmentative communication), oral and pharyngeal stage of swallowing. **Responsibilities:** - **Prepare** and recommend diagnostic reports for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology services. - **Maintain** compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including professional licensure and certifications. - **Provide** diagnostic evaluations and speech pathology treatments to clients. - **Attend** and contribute to staff meetings, development programs, and in-service education. - **Adhere** to organizational policies and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards. - **Keep** accurate records of patient progress and therapy sessions. - **Deliver** excellent customer service with a positive attitude towards all stakeholders. - **Gather** comprehensive historical information for client assessments. - **Compile** and report data for the Speech-Language Pathology Programs' needs. - **Coordinate** client evaluations, scheduling, and treatment plans to ensure high productivity and quality care." + Prepare and recommend diagnostic reports for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology services. + Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including professional licensure and certifications. + Provide diagnostic evaluations and speech pathology treatments to clients. + Attend and contribute to staff meetings, development programs, and in-service education. + Adhere to organizational policies and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards. + Keep accurate records of patient progress and therapy sessions. + Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude towards all stakeholders. + Gather comprehensive historical information for client assessments. + Compile and report data for the Speech-Language Pathology Programs’ needs. + Coordinate client evaluations, scheduling, and treatment plans to ensure high productivity and quality care. + Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with specific course work and clinical practice. + Must have good communication and interpersonal skills **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
