Experience: Relevant experience in healthcare, warehousing, or distribution setting; preferred. Additional Skills Required: Valid US driver’s license. Driving record will be verified. Completion and maintenance of Novant Health’s internal driving course. Continuing education required in safe transport of biohazardous materials. Sufficient knowledge of terminology and computer skills to interact with the laboratory team and electronic health record. Skill in anticipating and reacting calmly to emergency situations; skill in organizing and prioritizing work in a stressful environment with changing priorities. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, hospital staff, and the public. Ability to follow written protocols. Ability to work both independently and as a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; competency in customer relation skills.
