JOB SUMMARY
Specialty Technicians perform a variety of routine and advanced patient care tasks under the direction of nursing staff to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients. Additionally, Specialty Technicians perform a variety of clerical and technical tasks as assigned and according to the assignment setting.
Specialty Technicians have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, improvement initiatives, and continuing education.

Minimum Education
High School or equivalent

Required Licenses/Certifications
Hospital-based training program
CPR - BLS within 30 days of hire
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Ability to deal effectively with community/consumers.
Ability to deal effectively with hospital personnel and duties of position.
Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain professional appearance and decorum at all times.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Must take call. Must arrive at Hendrick within 30 minutes of being called in.
