Specialty Product Associate

You have Boycott Regulations and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliant requirements experience and are seeking your next career growth. As a Specialty Product Associate with the Global Trade team at JPMorganChase, you will be responsible for monitoring work flow queues and assign transactions for processing to the team. You will check shipping documents against the terms of complex Commercial Letters of Credit and provide 2nd check and release payment. You will additionally liaise directly with clients on disputed discrepancies explaining the reason for raising in a professional manner, while monitoring quantity and quality of work to meet established objectives. You will also ensure a smooth workflow, review difficult cases, and expedite urgent transactions per Service Level Agreements (SLA).

Operating in 39 locations across 28 countries we offer Documentary and Standby Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Collections, Supply Chain Finance, Documentation Prep Service and Loan products. We have established a distributed operating model with regional hubs, global processing centers and a network of branches. Trade Finance is a credit based product which is highly complex and requires a significant amount of expertise. Job Responsibilities

Monitor work flow queues and assign transactions for processing to the team Check shipping documents against the terms of complex Commercial Letters of Credit and provide 2nd check and release payment Liaise directly with clients on disputed discrepancies explaining the reason for raising in a professional manner Monitor quantity and quality of work to meet established objectives Ensure a smooth workflow, review difficult cases, and expedite urgent transactions per SLA Research and resolve operational issues, review and recommend new methods and procedures for process improvement and efficiency Spur the Operations team forward while achieving client satisfaction at all times, maintaining a controlled environment Ensure that all transactions are processed in accordance with documented Standard operating Procedures (SOP) and comply with internal operating standards, Customer Service Levels, Industry Rules and with Standards and Compliance Maintain a client-focused approach, engage team members in best practices, exercising sound judgment, based upon knowledge and experience, at all times Provide guidance to all staff on complex transactions, especially where new business is being introduced

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Thorough knowledge of UCP600, UCC 522, International Standard Banking Practice (ISBP), Boycott Regulations, and OFAC compliant requirements including complex processing (i.e. Transfer, Back to Back Letter of Credit, Collection, Standby Letter of Credit and Country Specific documents) Ability to follow standing procedures and understanding of clients instructions which may differ among transaction and client Ability to make independent decisions and utilize all available tools to minimize corporate and client risk Self-motivated confident decision-maker with the ability to demonstrate leadership and establish credibility at a senior level Ability to organize and change priorities frequently within a given day, multitask, work independently and with others while demonstrating a positive attitude, and the ability to work with focus and urgency Strong Trade product knowledge with the ability to analyze, assess and determine key issues within the context of complex business products Ability to identify any Red Flags/OFAC regulatory/Anti-money laundering (AML) & Boycott Language in the transactions Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate, good Personal Computer (PC) skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required Ability to prepare, format, and proof for accuracy of data content for internal and external reports as it relates to the date or assigned transactions

Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS) preferred
