Specialty Medical Director - Criticalist, IM

VCA Animal Emergency Critical Care and Leesburg Veterinary Internal Medicine (AECC & LVIM) in Leesburg, Virginia is seeking a highly experienced Specialty Veterinarian to lead our well-established emergency and specialty hospital team as Specialty Medical Director.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated Veterinary Specialist in Critical Care or Internal Medicine to begin transitioning your career into a leadership position establishing the direction and medical quality of the hospital while also continuing to practice veterinary medicine.  You will receive support from the Regional Medical Director and other field team and Support Office associates. 

We are located in a 27,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility that was designed as a 24-hour specialty hospital offering all of the high tech equipment that one could want including a complete in-house lab, Doppler, ventilators, telemetry, spiral CT, MRI and linear accelerator.  Our hospital is co-located in The Life Centre with several specialty practices owned by other companies with whom we enjoy very cordial, mutually supportive working relationships. 

Our doctors and staff are committed to exceptional patient/client care.  Specialties include emergency, critical care, internal medicine, radiology, neurology, cardiology, dentistry/oral surgery, ophthalmology, general surgery, medical oncology and rehabilitation.

Our hospital is located in beautiful Loudoun County, Virginia close to snow skiing, spectacular beaches and national parks.  With Washington D.C. only 45 minutes to the east and West Virginia 30 minutes to the west, there are plenty of recreational opportunities awaiting you.
