Role overview:For the role of Specialist Network Design Engineer we are looking for candidates a with a broad range of skills.
Overall Accountability for the High-Level Design (HLD), dimensioning guidelines, and standard configurations of the Fixed Service Layer Architecture including:
To be End to End responsible for High-Level Design of the AAA Radius platforms for the countries in NSE scope, according to local/global needs.To define common Use Cases that can be reused between different countries.To design/develop AAA Radius platforms the most effective and timely solution according to Group guideline “Design once, Deploy many” approach.To promote the identification of synergy and consolidation activities in Europe and define/validate the overall detailed architecture of new services and network features, which affect Service layer domain of the countries in NSE scope.
Accountabilities:
To be a subject matter expert for AAA Radius, providing proper expertise support for the countries in NSE scope.Understanding local need and supporting VF in writing consistent requirement.Defining the best solution according to local architecture/need/budget/future proof.Producing consistent High-Level Design, including cost estimate.To define the middle layer software needed to execute provisioning activities (API layers/gateways, etc.) in the AAA Radius platforms.Ensuring the best project handover to Delivery Unit and providing them with a consistent support for LLD and testing/FOA.To promote new service/product according to “Security by Design” approach.Alignment with network technology strategy and architecture and contribution to Vendor RFQ to define requirement and to qualify best technical solution.To analyse Vendor’s roadmaps, to follow up, influence and adopt Vendors’ technology evolutions, lifecycle, and features in every country, pushing early adoption of new architectures/features.What you bring:
Proven knowledge of Radius Protocols (Radius, Diameter).
Proven knowledge of BNG, DHCP, CGNAT, LI solution.
Proven knowledge of Database systems (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, VoltDB, ...).
Understanding Fixed Access, IP, Ethernet, and Optical services across Backbone & Core Networks.
Understanding of Broadband, & IP Fundamentals and its various routing Protocols supporting them.
SW development background aimed to enabling the introduction of Software Defined Technologies.
Advanced level of English (+B2)
