Specialist II Quality Assurance

Typical Accountabilities:
• Provides technical advice on their area of expertise, good practice and impact on procedures /manufacturing compliance. For example ensuring the physical and environmental monitoring programme is maintained in compliance with current regulations

• Assists in major failure investigations ensuring recommendations are made and documented and action report is completed within the timescale

• Proactively looks for opportunities to improve level of compliance and efficiency by suggesting improvements to the processes and procedures

• Contributes to the preparation of regulatory submissions

• Provides an agreed level of out of hours cover for advice and assistance

• Provides an agreed level of cover for inter-related roles to ensure manufacturing area is not disrupted due to lack of resource. For Example Environmental Assurance Officer and Aseptic Support Officer

• May have batch sign off authority for specific process or records. Example batch related environmental records

• Writes and approves relevant technical protocols/reports and standard operating procedures

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Essential: Qualified to graduate or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline; Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice environment; Understanding of technical area of expertise Understanding of the implementation of relevant Good x Practice (GXP).
