Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries! www.lgenergymi.com Job Summary: Under supervision of the HR Shared Service Manager, this position will ensure timely, accurate wages payments and internal/external compliance. Moreover, the Payroll Specialist will organize payroll data from multiple sources, audit incoming information for accuracy, process multi-company code payrolls, analyze payroll and related expenses, and provide insight for management team. This position works in close partnership with our internal customers and external service providers. Responsibilities: + Develop/improve processes to ensure timely collection of payroll information + Audit and maintain personal, employment, payroll, and time & attendance database + Process multi jurisdiction, multi-cycle payrolls and facilitate payroll/benefits funding + Ensure payroll practices comply with company policies and legal standards + Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, resolving discrepancies and issues promptly. + Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment in payroll and benefits processes. + Analyze and report expense analytics to management + Prepare tax documents and process amendments as necessary + Supply payroll records for internal/external stakeholders as needed + Perform any other payroll related duties as assigned Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent relevant experience + CPP/FPC certification is a plus Experience: + 3 to 6+ years of corporate payroll processing or related experience Skills: + Extensive knowledge of multi-state payroll laws, corporate payroll functions, workforce analytics and best practices + High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel) and payroll software (ADP WFN preferred) + Requires the ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and team member information + Flexibility and the ability to work with shifting priorities; embrace new/evolving responsibilities + Must have exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
