Managing Principal – Construction

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Principal to join our Construction Practice.  This role will be based in Auckland and is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of key construction accounts, ensuring exceptional customer service and contributing to our company's profit objectives. If you are a strategic leader with a strong background in construction and risk management, we want to hear from you!

We will count on you to:

Manage and develop a team of Account Executives and support staff, ensuring effective communication, delegation, and performance management.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their business and risk management needs to deliver tailored solutions.

Oversee the preparation and achievement of team business plans, maximizing account profitability through efficient work practices and expense control.

Lead the development and implementation of renewal and broking strategies, ensuring client retention and satisfaction.

Actively participate in claims management, providing guidance and support to ensure equitable settlements for clients.

What you need to have:

Proven experience in account management within the construction industry.

Strong understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Level 5 Certificate in Broking and membership in appropriate industry groups.

Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue and expense budgets.
