The strategic management of global transportation has never been so important. We operate in an fast-paced supply chain environment with challenging requirements and increasing customer demands. It is vital to provide clear visibility to incoming products in the supply chain and deliver the best possible transportation service and solutions to meet the needs of our clients.
The Transportation Outbound Operations Specialist, serves as the main point of contact for coordinating CHANEL domestic shipments from the CHANEL distribution centers, 3PL facilities and boutiques for delivery to external clients, retail partners, 3PL ecommerce fulfillment center, CHANEL boutiques, and CHANEL field and corporate locations.
What impact you can create at CHANEL:
Oversee the planning and routing of all collect F&B outbound orders in compliance with the MBR partner’s inbound routing guidelinesSchedule all prepaid F&B outbound shipments to corporate offices, boutiques and ecom 3PL facility with the appropriate transportation carrier/mode including TL, LTL, weekly messenger runs and daily parcel shipments. Collaborate with the Fashion Account Management team and Schenker Control Tower to manage and monitor outbound Fashion shipments to boutiques Partner with Fashion Account Management team on collection launch & shipping strategy Oversee the Fashion boutique dedicated delivery operations Support the WFJ vault with shipping requests and coordination of high jewelry movementsManage carrier claims program including outlining clear procedures, providing claims status reporting to key internal stakeholders and oversee the creation and resolution of outstanding freight claimsOwn the parcel/courier carrier administration process including account setup, user setup/deactivation, carrier performance reviews and KPI managementProactively problem solve and communicate with appropriate departments when order, product or customer service issues ariseJoin internal team calls with Account Management and Distribution to review monthly business goals, current workloads and order release scheduleKeep up to date on customer routing guidelines and regularly review CHANEL SOP’s to ensure Transportation Operations processes are aligned with customer requirements. Collaborate with F&B dock manager and Fashion warehouse on daily Fedex capacity needs and manage daily pickup scheduleCoordination of special transportation projects including employee sales, events, new store openings, adhoc requestsProactively monitor Fedex daily exception tracking reportsSupport ad hoc network and lane analysis requests to identify opportunities to implement delivery solutions that improve delivery service and/or costYou are energized by:

Bachelor’s degree in related field – preferably international Business or Supply ChainIn lieu of degree CHANEL will accept 2 to 4 years of hands on experience managing domestic logistics (Fashion and fragrance & beauty industry a plus)Experience in SOP creation and outlining operational process flows Solid working knowledge of domestic transportation modes, shipping documentation and HAZMAT requirementsAbility to understand technology as it relates to the business.Demonstrated ability to effectively manage working relationships with both technical and business professionals.High proficiency with computer systems and software applications.Superior communication skills (both written and oral)Solid analytical and problem-solving skillsPartially Remote: Role requires a minimum of three days in-person office presence at the designated location/office.*Chanel, Inc. reserves the right to edit, change, or make exceptions on designations where circumstances where deemed appropriate.
Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $61,400 through $80,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay may be offered for this position. Other components will include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.Benefits and Perks:
