Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM), the asset management arm of Charles Schwab Corporation, has over $300 Billion in assets under management (AUM) and is one of the nation’s largest retail money managers. The CSIM Trade Operations Team (TOPS) provides control and oversight to the portfolio managers (PMs) & traders as it relates to the daily trade processing, settlements and corporate actions on behalf of the Schwab mutual fund and exchange traded fund (ETF) products. We hold ourselves to the highest of standards, and strive to create a strong functional atmosphere in which our PMs and Traders can focus solely on making effective decisions for our funds and our clients.

 

Responsibilities for this role will include: 

Monitor and interpret new and updated corporate action announcements identified through the review of custodian websites and internal corporate action processing systemCommunicate all voluntary corporate action events to portfolio managers and work with them to obtain their electionsCash and position reconciliation.Trade confirmation, transmission, and settlement. Identifying, investigating and resolving trade, cash, and position issues.Communicating with and monitoring our external vendors (brokers, prime brokers, custodians, accountants, etc.) and internal partners.Ensuring data integrity and assisting with system maintenance.Assist in the completion of operational projects.Support management in his/her absence.Find efficiencies in our current workflowLiaison between operational teamsProvide support for managers on critical issues What you have Bachelor’s degree required2-3 years corporate actions experience Familiarity with IHS Markit IMActions corporate action processing system preferredExperience with separately managed accounts and/or 40 ACT funds preferredAbility to work under pressure and within tight deadlinesFamiliarity with trading and settlement processes for equity, cash or fixed income instrumentsDemonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsAbility to work independently – requiring minimal instruction on day-to-day work in operational processesStrong communication, teamwork, and relationship building skillsAbility to identify and solve issues proactively and independentlyAbility to work a flex 8 hour schedule between 7:00am - 5:00pm CST

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
