As the premier provider of Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission solutions for the United States Space Force, L3Harris is looking for a candidate to develop and maintain space Command and Control (C2) systems. L3Harris is seeking professionals to work in a dynamic environment to solve challenging technical problems. Individuals will perform C2 system software development, design, implementation, test, and configuration management. The ideal candidate should have experience with the full software development lifecycle. This position is onsite located in Colorado Springs, CO and requires a Secret Security Clearance.

Essential Functions: 

Working under general supervision, provide solutions with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of project management.Design, develop, and test software applications for large-scale operational systems.May be responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.May manage projects with responsibility for the delegation of work and the review of others' work product.Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.Work consists of making moderate enhancements or improvements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.Up to 10% travel may be required, including international travel.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.Active U.S. DoD Secret Security clearance, Ability to obtain U.S. DoD Top Secret security clearance.Ability to obtain Security+ certification in less than 60 days.Experience developing software in Java.Experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).Experience developing and deploying software using a CI/CD pipeline.Experience with Agile software development and the software development lifecycle.Experience utilizing team collaboration tools (Confluence, Jira, GitLab).

Preferred Additional Skills:

Active U.S. DoD Top Secret security clearance.Active Security+ certification.Experience developing software in Java using Spring Boot framework.Experience developing software in C/C++ or Python.Experience with Oracle databases.Understanding of SDA mission data sets.Working knowledge of Wildfly (JBoss) application server.Experience with NIFI and how to configure NIFI flows.Experience with Cloud Native Technologies (microservices, containers, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps, etc.)Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation).

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $83,000 - $154,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.  May close within 60 days of 4/1/2025.
