Job Title: Specialist, Project Engineering Job Code: 20139 Job Location: Huntsville, AL Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Job Description: Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Specialist Project Engineer for our Huntsville, AL Headquarters location. The Specialist Project Engineer role involves performing and/or coordinating propulsion program tasks in conjunction with program management. Under general direction, you will be responsible for implementing design and analysis tasks and overseeing special studies and experiments. Additionally, you will coordinate ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses, as well as perform post-test examination, analyses, and reporting while supporting the program technical lead. Essential Functions: + Provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of engineering techniques + Read, interpret, and write specifications and technical documents + Prepare technical and design requirements in support of project goals + Keep current in relevant technologies and methods in support of project assignments + Provide direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areas + Understanding and/or leads Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process + May be assigned Earned Value Management duties + Travel: 10% + Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior Project Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Project Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Project Engineering experience.
