The Certified Payroll Specialist is responsible for overseeing all aspects of employee compensation, ensuring accurate processing of wages, deductions, and benefits in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. This role involves preparing detailed payroll reports, maintaining up-to-date payroll records, and ensuring the timely distribution of payments. What You Will Be Doing. + Leads the Preparation of correspondence, reports, and specialized compliance documents related to payroll. + Provides support on payroll projects & union audits. + Processes weekly/monthly OCIP reports. + Develops training programs in relation to Payroll processes and procedures. What We are Looking For. + Associate's Degree in Accounting, or High School Diploma with relevant work experience. + Background in payroll or accounting. + High energy and ability to multi-task with accuracy and timeliness. + Process-driven with an aptitude for change. + Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. + Maintains a high level of professionalism and a high level of confidentiality. + Ability to solve practical problems and address variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. + Possess tenacity, eagerness to learn and communication skills to ensure union issues are handled properly. + Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced office setting.
