BASIC FUNCTION:
The Learning Technology Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s LMS platform to ensure optimal functionality, usability, and accessibility. This role provides technical and user support, ensuring the platform aligns with organizational training and development goals.
SPECIFIC DUTIES[1]:
+ Technical Support: Provide assistance to users with software-related questions or issues within the LMS.
+ System Management: Regularly update, maintain, and improve learning systems and tools.
+ User Support: Provide assistance to users, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems.
+ Content Management: Upload, organize, and maintain training content, courses, and resources within the LMS and other platforms.
+ Reporting and Analytics: Generate and analyze reports on user activity, course completion rates, and other key metrics.
+ Data Dashboards: Oversee and maintain data dashboards that track and present key performance metrics for organizational projects.
+ Documentation: Develop technical documentation and articles for a support knowledge base.
+ Compliance: Ensure the LMS meets organizational compliance standards and training requirements.
+ Training and Onboarding: Create, adapt, and provide training to users on how to navigate and utilize the LMS effectively.
+ Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system enhancements, test new features, and implement updates.
RELATIONSHIPS:
+ Internal: Daily contact with GII (corporate) team members revolving around LMS needs.
+ Goodwill Members: Frequent contact with local Goodwill organizations to help identify LMS requirements including the administration of their portals.
+ External: Frequent contact with consultants and suppliers.
+ Government Officials: N/A
SKILLS NEEDED[2]:
+ Experience with LMS platforms.
+ Experience with Smartsheet and Power BI.
+ Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Familiarity with e-learning standards and best practices.
+ Familiarity with learning content files such as SCORM packages, xAPI files, HTML5 content, and other digital learning formats.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Education, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Multimedia or Microlearning Certifications a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
Understanding of current social issues. Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience identifying customer needs and providing appropriate solutions. Experience managing communication with external and internal stakeholders (customers, product owner, executives, etc.). Experience supporting a wide range of users with varying technology experience.
DECISION MAKING:
Decisions related to diagnosing problems and implementing action that results in solutions.
SUPERVISION:
General – Latitude is given to determine approaches, procedures, and methodologies for accomplishing the work. Receive administrative review. Work is reviewed to assure that it is conceptually sound and meets assignment objectives.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Medium, lifting 30 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 15 lbs. Walking or standing to a significate degree, involves sitting most of the time. May require long hours at a personal computer.
EMOTIONAL EFFORT:
Frequent short deadlines requiring some overtime. Work environment occasionally hectic with periods of high stress.
