Specialist, FP&A Analyst
Job Title: Specialist, Finance Job Code: 20511 Job Location: Palm Bay FL, Camden NJ, Plano TX, Salt Lake City UT or Herndon VA Schedule: 9/80 Job Description: Maritime Sector is seeking an FP&A analyst who will be responsible for providing key financial insights that will help drive the company's strategic decisions and financial planning process. This position is responsible for a wide variety of detailed financial analyses in support of Segment and CHQ FP&A data requests. This role requires an analytical thinker with the ability to work on complex financial models and provide actionable recommendations The ideal candidate has a passion and ability to focus on the important business details driving key financial metrics (earnings, cash flow, orders, revenue) while continually assessing reasonableness, understanding why something changes, and determining how to achieve desired business results. Essential Functions: + Forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Statistics) including coordinating, preparing, and analyzing various financial reports and data prior to submission + Hyperion planning and HFM data analysis and reconciliation + Weekly closure analysis and reporting for Orders, Sales, Operating Income, and Cash flow + Drives understanding of variances and then works with appropriate individuals to identify corrective actions, risks, or opportunities resulting from those variances. + Develop executive level presentations tailored to both finance and non-finance personnel + Annual operating plan development + Financial reporting process improvement projects + Develops tools, templates, and processes to simplify ways of gathering data and preparing reports, while also ensuring the information gathered is relevant and at an appropriate level of detail. + Ad hoc financial requests Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of 4 years of experience, including 2 years of financial experience within the aerospace/government contracting environment; or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of financial experience within the aerospace/government contracting environment. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. + Requires strong demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability + Experience nanaging and performing multiple tasks + Proven ability to work independently Preferred Additional Skills: + Prior experience using Hyperion Planning & Oracle SmartView + Prior experience with SAP + Prior A&D industry experience + General ledger accounting knowledge + Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to interact with all levels of management at Division/Sector/Segment #LI-LT1 L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
