THE ROLE: Specialist, Contract Renewals

Travel Requirements: 

This role will be remote (within the Continental US).  This position does not require any travel. 

Job Responsibilities: 

Serves as a key advisor in the creation and management of contracts, renewals, true-ups, and quotes, ensuring alignment with business strategies and compliance standards. Manages the Sales Support Case queue, ensuring adherence to SLAs and effective handling of complex requests. Oversees complex deal structures from inception to booking, including pricing and coordination with the Order Management team. Enforces departmental review and approval SLAs, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance. Interprets and escalates contractual language as necessary to comply with revenue recognition and operational policies. Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of deals, ensuring all contract details and terms are correct and align with company policies. Strong understanding of deal management, pricing approval processes, and sales/business approval policies. Proven experience in contract management and an advisory role within a sales environment.

Required Skills: 

Contract Expertise: Strong knowledge of contract development, negotiation, and management, including familiarity with legal and financial implications. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in CRM software, especially Salesforce.com, and contract management tools. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze contractual details and business implications, skilled in problem-solving and managing complex scenarios. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly articulating contract terms and conditions. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in contract preparation and analysis. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with sales, legal, finance, and other departments in facilitating contract processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (Preferably in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field) or the equivalent work experience and/or military experience Minimum of 3+ years in contract management, sales operations, or a similar role in a business or legal environment
