What you’ll be doing:
Provide product ideas, quotes, purchase order execution, and customer service relating to promotional and proprietary products and services that fall outside of the standard programs.Respond directly to Sales Representative and customer inquiries while working towards high proficiency in most aspects of the role.Develop customer relations directly through customer or sales representative for assigned book of business to prepare quotes based upon order specifications.Research possible solutions utilizing company systems, merchandise, sourcing and selling products from our stock line and approved suppliers and provide solutions to the customer.Examine customer expectations to develop and present recommendations to customers for approval.Utilize company systems combined with work experience for pricing application for larger volumes.Work with suppliers to source products/negotiate cost to meet the customer's specific needs for non-program merchandise, special events, etc.Collaborate with various support departments (with Mgr/Team Lead assistance as needed) to implement customer expectations & requirements.Support the program process by providing necessary customer information to ensure the success of a program.Work with expeditors/billing/accounting to facilitate the billing process via company and/or customer invoicing or e-procurement processes and systems with occasional manager assist.Resolve client/supplier/internal issues with guidance & assistance from manager/team lead.Involvement in ongoing improvement efforts as directed by management.Represent Staples at customer shows, corporate trade shows, and occasional territory travel.What you bring to the table:
Strong customer service knowledge and skillsExcellent customer relations and communication skills including verbal and written such as e-mail and phone skills2+ years of Microsoft programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint) requiredIndustry experience with ESP or SAGE is preferredDemonstrated organizational skills with capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyWhat’s needed- Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and related experience2+ years of related or transferable experienceWhat’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:
