Job Description
Summary of Responsibilities:
Provides exemplary customer service by processing group disability income insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner.
Principal Responsibilities:
* Manages assigned caseload of long-term disability (LTD) claims.
* Determines whether to suspend, terminate, or pay claims.
* Updates current claims records (inputs data).
* Evaluates claimant eligibility via information received from claimant, attending physician, and employer.
* Follows plans to closure.
* Follows established claim policies and practices to resolve claims and issues.
* Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 1+ years customer service experience
* Bi-lingual highly preferred (Spanish & English)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Excellent communications skills
* Ability to prioritize and multitask
* Ability to think abstractly
* Keyboarding skills
