Job Summary Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY: The special education teacher provides instruction at the elementary, middle, highschool and/or adult transition level to students who require remedial and specialized assistance inpre-academic, academic, social emotional, behavioral, adaptive behavior, daily living, pre-vocational, college and career skill areas; and plans, develops, organizes and implements comprehensive individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with a variety of disabilities. School staff will rely on the special education teacher to provide consultation and educational services within the area of special education.
