Job Title: Special Education Bus Driver Reports to: Assistant Director
A Kindle Farm Bus Driver can expect to interact on a daily basis with children who attend Kindle Farm and serve as their trusted transportation to and from school. As such, a School Bus Driver should be free of any traffic or criminal violations and should have an authoritative, yet calming demeanor and a strong understanding of traffic laws.

Responsibilities and Duties of the School Bus Driver position:
Transport children and other passengers to and from school Obey all traffic laws Ability to carry out assigned route on time Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all time Ensure the safety of all students Utilize Kindle Farm Behavioral Support Methods as needed to maintain a safe environment Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route Attend safety meetings as requiredQualifications:
Education/Certification: Valid Vermont or New Hampshire driver’s license, A Commercial (Class B) preferred Must be 18 years of age Ability to complete required bus driver safety training Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to communicate effectively Knowledge of student Kindle Farm support procedures Ability to manage student behavior Ability to operate bus Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years Two or more years of experience working with children preferred One or more years of experience
Equipment Used:
School owned and maintained light van, locks, seatbelts, harnesses, car seats, safety equipment (flares, reflective signs), fire extinguisher. Working Conditions: Maintain emotional control. Continual sitting, reaching, and repetitive hand and arm motions; pushing, pulling, moderate lifting. Work outside and inside; moderate exposure to extreme temperatures and vehicle fumes.
