Special Assets Operations Specialist
Job Purpose & Scope Provides support in ARC’s business operation by supporting its repossession, remarketing, litigation, insurance, third-party agency, and loan servicing channels. Essential Job Functions Coordinate all repossession activity in securing collateral for personal property assets. Provide frontline support in managing the Bank’s third-party collection agency vendor. Coordinate all loan servicing requirements for the Indirect Lending and Leasing Portfolios. Follow all federal, state and municipal collections laws, to include the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA). Resolve insurance exceptions within the Indirect Lending and Leasing Portfolios. Assign legal placements to ARC’s legal network for litigation. Reconcile ARC’s monthly vendor invoices. Assist with any remarketing activities needed during the asset disposition process for personal property assets. Assist in making collection calls when needed. Maintain good punctuality and attendance to work. Follow Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to demonstrate knowledge of federal, state, and municipal collection laws. Knowledge of general banking principles. Skill in customer service. Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills to discuss sensitive financial situations in a tactful, empathic manner and maintain the Bank’s image. Skill in analytical, time management, and problem-solving. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to multi-task and work under general supervision. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exacting deadlines. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, required. One (1) year collection experience required.
