Qualifications: Required: + High School Diploma or equivalent + CRCST Certification + Maintains membership with a recognized Central Sterile Association + Proven work record and commitment towards continuing education + Successful completion of site personnel general orientation + Successful completion of department specific orientation Scheduling Requirements: + Evening Shift + Full-Time + 40 hours per week Essential Functions: + Understands the cleaning products and procedures used in Central Service and is able to choose the appropriate cleaning method for each item + Process and maintains surgical instruments for OR, Delivery Room, Dental clinic, clinics, ED, X-Ray, Minor Surgery and nursing units + Picks all instruments and assembles instrument trays and baskets for OR, ED, Delivery Room, Minor Surgery, X-Ray, nursing units and various other departments + Operates and maintains all mechanical cleaning machinery, sterilizer, cart washer, decomats and drying cabinets, etc. within the Central Service department + Sorts, examines, delints, folds, wraps and sterilizes linen + Performs all other duties when requested Benefits and Perks: RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
