Spacecraft Rendezvous and Proximity Operations GN&C Simulation Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Spacecraft Rendezvous and Proximity Operations GN&C Simulation Engineer to join our team with teammate company, Nexus Solutions. This position will work on the JETS Rendezvous, Proximity Operations, and Capture (RPOC) team developing onorbit Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) simulations in support of Commercial Visiting Vehicle missions to the International Space Station (ISS).\n

The selected applicant will:\n

- Provide math modeling, simulation development, integration, and testing of commercial visiting vehicle GN&C systems using an established software process\n

- Perform and document simulation verification and validation (V&V)\n

- Create and deliver math model and simulation documentation - Identify team simulation tasks, resolve simulation issues, and assist team members\n

- Directly interact with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors during technical meetings and working groups\n

- Perform other duties as required Qualifications\n

- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in the field or in a related area\n

- Experience with Linux, C\/C++ and\/or Python\n

- Experience with version control systems - Experience with GN&C principles\n

- Experience developing, verifying, and validating math models and simulations\n

- Ability to apply knowledge\/experience towards timely completion of technical products & services\n

- Excellent communication and documentation skills\n

- Ability to work in a multi-company team environment\n

- Strong leadership skills Requisition Preferences:\n

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or a related field) from an ABET accredited engineering school\n

- Experience with spacecraft rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking\n

- Experience with orbital mechanics\n

- Experience with Git\/GitLab\n

- Experience with dynamic simulator development for building flight simulators (e.g., Unreal game engine or similar resources)\n

- Experience with simulation visualization and graphics packages, particularly JSC EDGE or DOUG\n

- Experience with JSC TRICK Simulation Environment\n

- Experience with JEOD (JSC Engineering Orbital Dynamics) modeling package\n

- Experience with LaTeX\n

- Experience in product delivery and management utilizing source code management tools\n

- Proficiency in MATLAB\/Simulink\n

- NASA flight operations and procedures
