Space Domain Awareness Systems Advisor

KBR is hiring a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Systems Advisor to directly support the Mission Delta 2 (MD2) Mission Integration Director on Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.

An active TS/SCI clearance is REQUIRED.

The mission of MD2 is to generate, present, sustain, and improve combat space domain awareness forces who identify, characterize, and exploit opportunities to secure our Nation’s interests in, from, and to space. DEL 2 manages assigned weapon system architectures and ensures operations are intelligence-led, cyber-resilient, and driven by innovation, while postured to succeed in a contested, degraded and operationally limited environment.

A strong candidate has excelled while operating Space Domain Awareness (SDA) sensors and Command & Control systems. In this position, you will provide the Mission Integration Director with an operational perspective in order to:

Key Responsibilities:

Operationalize SDA data from non-traditional/non-organic sources (i.e., commercial, partner/allied, academia).Analyze, prioritize and integrate sensor data into operations using a variety of methods/data transport architectures.Inform how SDA data gets delivered to operators, C2 centers, and data repositories on combat relevant timelines.Develop, coordinate, and/or assess Tactics, Techniques and Procedures.Optimize current and future SDA mission capabilities.Travel may be required for limited durations to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Qualifications:

Required:

Active Top Secret/SCI clearanceBA/BS degree5+ years of experience operating, or in direct support (i.e., management oversight, intelligence, or acquisition) of any operational system associated with USSPACECOM/USSF3+ years of additional experience operating, or in direct support (i.e., management oversight, intelligence, or acquisition) of any space- or ground-based SDA sensor systemsExperience with standard HQ staffing processes (e.g., TMT, Staff Summary Sheets, Comment Resolution Matrix)Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel)Ability to identify and resolve challenges in a high-tempo, collaborative environmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsAccustomed to professionally interacting with General/Flag officers and senior civilian personnelAbility to meet deadlines and deliverables with minimal guidance

Desired:

Experience with SDA sensor systems (i.e., the Space Surveillance Network).Experience with USSF SDA sensor operations (ground or space-based).Experience with multi-mission sensors that contribute to SDA.Experience with SDA sensor C2 and data transport architecture(s).Experience with acquisition/integration of next generation space surveillance sensor systems or upgrades to existing SDA sensor capabilities.Experience with government testing of space systems.Experience with SDA sensors in commercial/civil and/or academia settings.

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

40hrs

Basic Compensation:

$125k-$135k

This range is for Colorado only.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
