The Spa at Ascend Fitness and Spa is looking for Northern Ohio’s best Estheticians, Massage Therapists, Nail Technicians and Spa Attendants. We are hiring for on-call, part-time and full-time team members for each position.

Requirements:

Qualifications

Experience working in a spa or therapy center environment2-4+ years' experience as a professional, licensed massage therapistProficient knowledge of reflexology, Swedish, prenatal, hot stone, trigger point, sports, and deep tissue massageExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenGood computer skillsGreat interpersonal skillsAbility to perform massages on diverse clients

Responsibilities:

· Creates an excellent guest experience through friendly and helpful service

· Evaluate clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion

· Develop and propose treatment plans that specify treatment suggestions

· Consult with clients about their medical histories and any problems with stress and/or pain to determine whether massage would be helpful

· Massage and knead the muscles and soft tissues of the human body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance

· Discuss with other health care professionals such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians, and psychologists to develop treatment plans for clients

· Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records/soap notes of each client

· Assists in the cleanliness of the location (therapy rooms, bed dressings, laundry, spa area, locker rooms, and storage rooms)

· Follows all policies and protocols.

· Knowledge of aromatherapy and equipment

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a talent for making people feel comfortable and better about themselves

· Strong time management abilities

· Ability to recommend and sell products and hit sales quotas

· Completes treatment assessment and soap notes with each client

· Maintaining skincare tools

· Interacts cooperatively with other spa team members to provide a seamless guest experience

· Discovers guests needs and makes appropriate treatment and home care recommendations

· Presents warm, gracious, and professional persona towards guests and co-workers

· Adheres to a high professional image standard such as dress, appearance, language, and lifestyle

· Practices the highest standard of sanitation, neatness, and visual presentation

· Actively builds repeat clientele

· Attends and participates in all general team meetings, in-house training and commits to outside continuing education

· Assists with laundry and spa cleaning, even if an assistant is available

· Maintains treatment suite inventory and other organizational tasks

· Open to coaching, role-playing, and improvements to perfect skills

· Participates in all aspects of marketing/special events planning and execution

· Completes daily checklist of cleaning obligations and abides by all county, state, and local laws and regulations regarding sanitation, cleanliness, and safety
