Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented SOX Intern to join our team! In this role you will get to learn about how a company’s financial lifeblood flows through the company.

What you will be doing:

Learn and enrich your knowledge of SOX compliance:

Learn detailed applications of key SOX sections (404 and 302)

Learn how to review and understand SOC reports

Learn and understand various control types and their applications at Parsons

Understand control design and efficacy related to SOX compliance

Meet and network with managers and executives as you assist with the SOX program

Review control documentation to learn about and assess compliance with stated guidelines and to assist with improving the organization

Prepare required SOX walkthrough documentation for key controls in the organization

Review, verify, and format information into templates for use within and outside the unit 

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel

Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, accounting or MIS.

Commitment to a 10 month program (~April 2025-February 2026)

Capable of working a minimum of 8-16 hours a week

3.0 GPA minimum.

Salary Range: $18.94 - $33.17
