A Sous Chef - Main Kitchen for Conrad Dubai will work closely with the Executive Sous Chef to ensure the smooth running of the Main Kitchen, supporting other outlets, in accordance with the hotel’s standards and financial goals.

What will I be doing?

\n

A Sous Chef - Main Kitchen for Conrad Dubai will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nMaintain kitchen hygiene and safe food storage and rotation.\nCo-ordination of all aspects of the banqueting operation to ensure that all services are delivered to guests or internal customers with the aim of exceeding guest expectations and in accordance with standards and procedures.\nAnalyse and respond to guest feedback, guest satisfaction and associate satisfaction information; and give a positive commitment to continuous improvement of product and performance.\nMonitor all Kitchen equipment to ensure safe and functional operation and report faults to Engineering.\nPlace and monitor food orders in Birchstreet in line with the operational requirements.\nComplete daily Stores Requisitions.\nLiaise with other Chefs to streamline operations.\nSupervise daily food preparation and service requirement.\nConduct daily briefings and weekly meetings. Support in team member performance reviews, and analyse training needs for current positions and future promotions.\nAttend Chef meetings and represent the Department at other meetings as required.\nCoordinate service between F.O.H and B.O.H.\nProvide advice and recommendations on menu development, food availability trends, market prices, food preparation, methods and cuisine.\nProvide training in food skills and knowledge to F.O.H team members. \nSupporting in the training and development of the culinary team members.\nAssist the Chefs in day-to-day operation as required.\n

\n\nPrevious experience as Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef (Main Kitchen) experience.\nStrong experience in Main Kitchen operation.\nPassion for producing high quality food and knowledge of current food trends.\nExcellent planning and organizing skills.\nAbility multi-task and meet deadlines.\nStrong supervisory skills.\nPositive attitude.\nVery good communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work under pressure.\n\n

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

\n\nPrevious experience in a luxury hotel.\nLocally available to conduct a food tasting.\n\n
