Sourcing Manager
**Boehringer Ingelheim** is hiring a **Sourcing Manager with additional GFE (Global Facilities & Engineering) responsibilities** for the **NEW (NorthEast and West) Africa region.** The position will be based in either Algeria, Egypt, or Morocco. **Countries in scope of responsibilities:** NEW Africa (North East and West Africa) region including Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia **Key Responsibilities:** + Category Strategy Implementation: Implement the Category Strategy following the centrally stipulated Target Operating Model (TOM) and inform local Business Partners (BPs) accordingly. + Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, and classify sourcing risks, devise risk mitigation measures, and manage risk exposure. + Supplier Relations: Identify and evaluate existing and potential local suppliers, establish, and maintain supplier relations, and use Business Review Meetings and KPIs to resolve potential issues early. + Business Partner Collaboration: Actively manage local Business Partners, align common goals, coordinate demands within Sourcing, and ensure relevant information is shared and support is provided. + Buying Channels Optimization: Optimize buying channels, leverage market opportunities, and maximize usage of Master Services Agreements (MSAs) or Frame Services Agreements (FSAs). + Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with mandatory SOPs, local pharmaceutical standards/ethics (ABAC), and legal requirements. Report adverse events to local PV within required timelines. + Operational Excellence: Follow company procedures and processes with respect to Finance, HR, IT, etc., and manage daily issues related to categories and internal/external partners. **Additional GFE (Global Facilities & Engineering) Responsibilities:** + Security & Crisis Management: Ensure compliance with the relevant security requirements and systems (video surveillance, access system, alarm system) and report incidents to the regional team.Ensure that the company's internal guidelines are adhered to. This includes the ongoing updating of the crisis manual and the training of local crisis management. Both tasks are coordinated and supported by the regional crisis team. + EHS (Environment Health and Safety): Ensure that all employees have a safe working environment and that hazards are recognized and eliminated at an early stage.Coordinate the training and operation of first aiders and fire wardens. + REFM (Real Estate Facility Management): Provide best standards of Facility Management Service within the Office. Coordinate all needs with the external service provider and focus on transparency and implement efficiency measures. + Support relevant Audits and Assessment from a GFE perspective. **Required Qualifications:** + Education: Master’s degree preferred or Diploma degree in Business Administration or Pharmaceutical. + Language: English and French is mandatory, Arabic is preferred. + 3-6 years of sourcing/purchasing experience. + Experience in Facility and contract management is mandatory. + Skills: Demand Management, Market and Supplier Analysis, Agility, Relationship Building, Results Focused. + Industry Knowledge: Pharmaceutical industry knowledge preferred, local market knowledge, and category specificity knowledge. **Our differences are our strengths.
