Make a Difference 

The Sourcing Analyst leads strategic sourcing activities with the goal of achieving cost reductions and standardizing products and services across the Network, while maintaining or improving product quality and supplier service levels. The Sourcing Analyst coordinates with the Director of Strategic Sourcing to conduct competitive bidding processes for direct and indirect commodities and services, typically through the use of Requests for Proposals. This role will be responsible for negotiating agreements, leading strategic sourcing projects, analyzing supplier pricing proposals, , supporting the Value Analysis program, developing reports and presentations, and communicating with Supply Chain leaders, internal customers, and Network leadership.

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

Bachelor’s degree in business management, hospital administration, or other related field required.  In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.  Three (3) years of experience in strategic sourcing or buying required.  Previous experience in healthcare preferred.  Demonstrates strong organizational capabilities, ability to conduct complex analysis, and problem-solving capability to act as active steward of the health system’s resources.  Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clinical leaders across the Network, and ability to work in a team environment with diverse groups of clinical and non-clinical personnel.  General knowledge of products across healthcare and of the sourcing and procurement process.  Demonstrated experience in change management, quality management, process analysis, data analysis, problem solving, and team building.  Excellent interpersonal skills, oral, and written communication skills.  Professional knowledge of acute care practices and healthcare in general.  Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of data analysis, purchasing, pricing, types and quality of products and services, as well as knowledge of prices and market trends and establishing vendor relationships.  This position will work a hybrid schedule, with the expectation to work on-site once-to-twice per week.
